2012 Fall Line Winery Red Willow Vineyard Red Wine
"The 2012 Red Willow Vineyard (36% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, 18% Petit Verdot and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 40% new French oak) offers perfumed aromas of cassis, mint, wild herbs and tobacco leaf. Pure, elegant, medium to full-bodied and balanced, drink it any time over the coming decade or more." (WA 90pts)
2013 Substance Super Substance Cabernet Sauvignon Stoneridge
"The 2013 Super Substance Cabernet Sauvignon Stoneridge has a sexy profile (compared to the Merlot Stoneridge) and has amble black currants, licorice, graphite and spice to go with medium to full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannin, solid mid-palate concentration and a great finish. Like all of the wines here, the winemaking is impeccable and while this can be enjoyed in its youth, it will have 15+ years of longevity as well." (WA 93pts)
2014 Chateau des Fougeres Clos Montesquieu
"The 2014 des Fougeres - Clos Montesquieu is compelling. Crème de cassis, lavender, violet, plum, black cherry and black pepper are some of the many notes that flesh out in an inky, super-expressive wine endowed with real personality as well as class. The 2014 is compelling for many reasons, especially in the way it is both incredibly vivid and rich. This is a super-impressive showing from des Fougères and consulting winemaker Frédéric Massie. Drink till 2034." (VM 94pts)
